

Gaeul’s boyfriend, Supyo, makes a bad impression right off the bat, arriving a half-hour late and mocking Junpyo hair is like a sea shell! And whips out his phone to get a picture of this marvel of hair gel! Junpyo is pissed, of course, but refuses to leave. He promises he’ll behave but is still very annoyed that Gaeul’s boyfriend is late. Jandi and Gaeul are waiting for Gaeul’s boyfriend… and suddenly, Junpyo shows up, pretending to have run into them by sheer coincidence. The next day, Jandi tries to pretend she’s not disappointed that he turned down the invitation. Yijung volunteers to go in Junpyo’s place, because he wants to see what a commoners’ date is like. And then crows to his buddies, “Did you see how I hung up first?” Turns out Jandi was calling to suggest that they go out on a double date. First, he feigns disinterest: “Geum Jandi? Who’s that?” The guys sigh that he’s overdoing it, so he corrects himself, saying, “Ah right, I remember now.” But in an effort to pretend he hasn’t noticed her absence, he assures her, “I’ve been SO busy, I haven’t been able to recall that you haven’t called in three days and thirteen hours.” Yijung grimaces, “It’s embarrassing calling him friend.” Jandi makes a suggestion which Junpyo finds disagreeable, and he balks, “Why would I want to go there?” and hangs up. Thus when Jandi does finally call, Junpyo tries to calm his reaction before answering the phone. Relationships require a certain give and take and it’s better if he waits. Woobin, ever the voice of reason, tells him to call her, but Yijung reminds him of the player’s code. He’s determined to wait for her to make the first move, and paces in agitation. Junpyo’s pacing up a storm waiting for Jandi to call him. He likes them so much that soon, a mound of little skewers sits in front of him. They emerge from the bath and beeline for some fish-cake skewers from a street vending cart, which Junpyo tastes for the first time.
